Team: Nathan, Bradley, Austin, Ben, Jack, Peter,
Josh, Sean, and Kieran.
First Half
On a cold morning at the OG’s, Dinamo came out
showing their intent taking the game straight to Finedon. After four
minutes, Sean’s cross finds Peter, who in turn passes to Kieran, who his
rewarded for his early efforts with the first goal of the day. 1-0 to
Dinamo. The game continues with the action in midfield and then on
six minutes, Peter picks up from a throw in and his cross finds Josh who
scores, making it 2-0. Finedon then start to get into the game and they
start to apply some pressure. Finedon force two corners and it is good
work by Sean and a couple of saves by Nathan that maintain the
scoreline. Dinamo survive the pressure and on twelve minutes, after
Kieran and Jack scramble in the Finedon goal mouth, Peter picks up the
loose ball and neatly scores making it 3-0. Finedon apply some more
pressure in the final minutes, and it is Ben who confidently stops the
attack. The final ball of the half is a free kick by Josh, who makes a
long range shot on goal, but hits the side netting.
Half Time score 3-0.
Second Half
Austin and Brad come on for the second half and
Austin is straight into action with an early clearance. The game is
mainly played in midfield with both teams having forays into the
opposite half. Austin and Ben work hard to control the Finedon advances,
and Finedon have a number of shots wide. At the other end, it is Sean
and Jack who are working hard to get the ball forward. By now the pitch
is getting very sticky, but still the boys carried on working hard in
the conditions. Finedon have a couple more shots, and from a goal
kick, Nathan spots Jack, who after a good, battling run, calmly slots
the ball home. Thirteen minutes and the score is 4-0. Another burst of
energy for the final minutes of action. On fourteen minutes, Peter picks
up the ball in defence and passes to Bradley, who makes a good run, and
connects with Kieran who scores, 5-0. There is time for one final attack
and it is Kieran who provides for Bradley, but the shot is saved. An
exciting game in difficult conditions, where the boys worked hard and
played well as team, and this is why the are unbeaten in 2010!
Full Time score 5-0.
