South Rushden Panthers vs. Grammarians Youth
Pitch 2 11am kick off

With conditions much firmer underfoot than last week, lee used all 10 panthers players in this game with multiple substitutes the squad are

Adam, David, Flynn, Henry, Louis, Matthew, Oliver, Spencer, Tyler, Will

The starting team was

Goalkeeper Tyler
Def   Oliver, David
Mid/att Henry Matthew Louis

Panthers kick off and are soon on the attack Matthew forces a corner, corner taking by David a shot by Henry hits the post, great run by David who passes to Louis whose shot is saved by the keeper, good tackle from Matthew sets off Louis who crosses into the area shot from Matthew which is saved, Henry hits the rebound just wide, all Panthers  at this moment but a fine tackle from Oliver stops a rare Grammarians attack, back come the panthers and a last gasp tackle thwarts Louis in full flow.

David takes the corner which curls straight into the net great corner and goal, another attack is stopped by Oliver whose pass sets Adam off on a great run and pass to Will who shoots straight at the keeper, more shots from Henry Flynn and Adam are keeping the keeper very busy, (Tyler is in the match but has had nothing to do)

HALF TIME

If you thought that was exiting you haven't seen anything yet.

The second half showed the true power of the free scoring Panthers when they play as a team and PASS the ball.

Grammarians kick off and a touch for Tyler who seems very happy to have the ball in his  hands a quick throw to Will who beats one man and then another man into the their half and full speed beats another man into the box and then unleashes an unstoppable shot hits the back of the net WHAT A GOAL

A great tackle from Spencer with his no messing defending a joy to watch sets up Louis whose powerful shot finds the net, straight from the restart grammarians are on the attack and a ball into the box sees David trying to back heel the ball clear, the clearance falls to a Grammarian player whose shot sails by Tyler.

Panthers straight on the attack and force a corner, another quality corner from David finds Henry who scores, Straight from the kick off panthers win the ball David to Louis to Henry to Adam who scores a GREAT TEAM GOAL

Again straight back on the attack and Henry finds the net once more, all panthers as they unleash there attacking flare, Louis wins a corner and takes it which finds the net off a grammarians defender who was being pressured by 3 Panthers attackers.

One more attack sees Louis power the ball into the net another great goal, the ref blows the whistle the boys shake hands on a most impressive display which included some quality defending to set some of the goals up and some real quality corners by David and Louis, Not forgetting THAT GOAL by Will which will not be bettered at any football ground this week

The whole team were given the man of the match but the captain’s armband will be worn by Henry next game

Big thanks to Adrian for being referee great job (but blow harder next time)
