February 6th pitch 3 11.45 kick off
Panthers vs. Pumas

Panthers had a full squad so Lee started with this team:
Gk Tyler
Def Oliver, Louis
Mid/Att David, Flynn, Will

Pumas kick off and are tackled by Flynn whose pass sets Will on a run tackled well by the Pumas defence, some more good work by Flynn sets David up who shoots straight at the keeper, an attack by the Pumas is dealt with by Oliver who clears for a corner, Tyler claims the corner ball with ease and sets Louis off on one of his trademark runs the length of the pitch and wins a corner , Louis takes the corner and despite 4 efforts on goal the Pumas defence clears, a good attack by the Pumas sees Tyler into action with his first save of the game, Tyler seems to be in control of his penalty area and is barking orders out to his defence.

A quick break from will passes to Flynn who find Louis whose shot is blocked by the Pumas defence for a corner, great corner by Louis which Will meets with a flying header only for the Puma’s keeper to save, half time.

Panthers show the true strength of their squad as Adam, Matthew, Spencer and Henry join the arena for the second half.

Panthers kick off and a good move with Matthew passing to Henry whose shot goes wide, panthers straight back on the attack with Adam in full flow down the wing crosses for Henry to shoot another good save by the Pumas keeper.

A good tackle and run from Matthew sets up Adam who shoots wide, a quick attack from the Pumas is dealt with by Spencer who clears for a throw in, another flowing passing move from the panthers sees Henry to Matthew onto Adam whose first time shot just goes over the bar.

David, Louis and Flynn come back on.

A rare second half attack from the Pumas is dealt with by Tyler, a quick kick from Tyler finds Louis who is fouled, David lines up one of his trademark 25 yard free kicks boom as the ball hurtles into the area a brave Puma player got in the way off that Louis gets to the rebound another fine save from the keeper, Flynn is everywhere winning tackle after tackle to set up Louis and Henry whose shots goes wide.

The Panthers win another corner David finds Louis whose shot just goes inches wide.

The ref blows the whistle the game is over, the players shake hands and congratulate themselves on a truly great hard fought game of football, who needs the Premiership?

With the free scoring Panthers drawing a blank for the first time this season, full credit must go to the Pumas who to a man fought and battled right to the end.

Next week with our shooting boots on bring on the Volta Hurricanes.
